Council hears recommendations on aquatic centers

Consultants have recommended a $19.6 million master aquatics plan to build five aquatic centers over the next 10 years. The City Council will consider recommendations from the consultants and the Parks and Community Services Advisory Board at the March 20 council meeting.

City recognized for after-school program efforts with four-year grant

Parks & Community Services Director Richard Zavala announced the award of a four-year, $765,000 grant from the Wallace Foundation to further after-school programming. With matching funds from the city, the grant means more than $1 million funding for after-school programs.
